During the school year about the only thing I ever saw him do during the evenings was correct student writing. He thought practice and constant feedback helped them express themselves better. Alas, as Megan demonstrates, nothing can compensate for a writer unwilling to make basic efforts. Laziness indeed.Bradnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222630007427380394.post-71185042881885166842011-02-21T11:49:54.539-06:002011-02-21T11:49:54.539-06:00If people weren't so blinded by status they...If people weren't so blinded by status they'd assess theories on their own merits.

So much in life comes down to habits of obedience.Susan of Texashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00076915322771385454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222630007427380394.post-76268722123226546352011-02-21T11:05:05.652-06:002011-02-21T11:05:05.652-06:00Not to get into too much elite-school-bashing of m...Not to get into too much elite-school-bashing of my own, but I've seen way too much of this kind of thing put forth from graduates of impressive schools. Poorly-thought-out, poorly researched crap from an Ivy grad gets published, while insightful, accurate material from the product of a state school languishes.

Both McMegan and Bush the Lesser got prestige MBAs that appear to have brought about little learning on the part of their recipients; can we therefore open up a line of skepticism about the value of these degrees?DocAmazingnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222630007427380394.post-39244206969381202942011-02-21T10:40:10.093-06:002011-02-21T10:40:10.093-06:00See also: Matt YglesiasSee also: Matt YglesiasMorbonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222630007427380394.post-88924578850653912122011-02-20T19:02:22.504-06:002011-02-20T19:02:22.504-06:00She really publishes without spellchecking? I wish I'd known that- it tells one a lot about what she really is even without knowing the content: Lazy, sloppy, ignorant and conceited, too indifferent or contemptuous of her "readers" to even offer them a properly spelled essay, let alone a factual or thoughtful one.

Very interesting.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03176801494652946278noreply@blogger.com
