One can work occasionally on Constitutional issues, but even an in-house lawyer for a newspaper is much more than just a Constitutional lawyer, despite the 1st Amendment prevalence as an issue in almost everything a newspaper does.

Law is not like medicine. People don't become "Constitutional lawyers" formally, there's no way to be one. You can maybe teach Con Law at a law school, but even that doesn't make someone a "Constitutional lawyer."

In Greenwald's case, it's a self-inflating sales pitch tag.

I think it's more honest to call him a Democrat-loving lawyer who has written about a few Constitutional issues, but with no greater expertise or distinction than any other lawyer I've ever known, and less expertise than many.

He's not an expert. He's just a guy with a big public reputation. That's a lot different. In the legal world, he's not considered an arch authority on anything.

But for that matter, neither is Barack Obama, even though he taught Con Law once upon a time. I'd even suggest Obama is Constitutionally corrupt!

In other news... He makes no mention of businesses buying congressmen to obtain favorable treatment and goods and services. He surely knows about lobbyists since his father-in-law was one.

This demented boy thinks he can help rule the world with the power of his laser brain. He's a child, just like Yglesias was a child when he was 21 and telling adults what to think. These kids were never seasoned or educated in the real world and experienced people were ignored--because the kids said what the elite wanted people to say. Then the kids told themselves how clever they were! How analytically brilliant and original! Because they had achieved great success in the world, which proved that they were people of exceptional merit.

And these are the people that everyone says we should be polite to.
