The Post Office must adapt, or they will be left in the dust by UPS & FedEx, which are NOT that wonderful IMO.

Back in the early 90's the Post Office tried to update itself, to get ahead of the (electronic) curve. They had a partnership with NASA and several Silicon Valley Computer companies to create a strong internet Post Office. I guess it fizzled out.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03176801494652946278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222630007427380394.post-63547539132372723732010-03-03T10:53:11.816-06:002010-03-03T10:53:11.816-06:00You would think it would affect her regard for the...You would think it would affect her regard for the financial world, but she just can't quit them.

SoV, think of all the postal routes that would be eliminated because they weren't cost effective. I believe people are deluding themselves that a private entity could do a better job.

Let's not even discuss the benefits of having the USPS in terms of providing stable jobs to thousands of American. These tangible things are very hard to measure but important nevertheless all for 100 bucks. That seems like a bargain.

Regards,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
