Why is everyone backing away from the hanged census worker story? Panicked druggies don't set up an elaborate cover-up that is absolutely guaranteed bring in publicity and a larger investigation.
It was a great rant, but pulling it was not unwise. (Just link to the "What if Roman Polanski were Fr. or Msgr. Polanski" post elsewhere.)
Because we all read Faulkner, and know the Standard Southern Attitude toward Government Workers. So the MSM has to pretend there's "no story here," because they're now devoted to chasing down anything Glenn Beck and/or the rest of Faux make(s) up.
Maybe it's different here. We're the 4th largest city in the nation, we have a huge international population, lots of universities, lots of people who travel the world. The idea of a back-woods anti-government knee-jerk bias seems so 1950s. But I don't live in Mississippi or Kentucky, so what do I know?
If only we could undue pointless wars of aggression that way.
