Power Couple

It's so sweet when husbands support their wives' business endeavors.

  1. Could these two be any more repugnant? At least there is some level of self-awareness that many suspected was there but could not confirm.

  2. Oh, you mean he wasn't talking about McArble? My bad.

  3. Yes!

For too long have Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, etc. etc. had to hide their brilliance under their G.O.P. lampshades.

  4. Five bucks says Suderman's not getting any at home.

And if he is, I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW.

Megan McArdle 2009: "Matt Taibbi is becoming the Sarah Palin of journalism."

May 2011: In a two-person debate about one of the major finance stories of the era, Megan McCardle is shown to be far less informed, less well-read, and generally less articulate on the subject than Sarah Palin.

    As she calls him.

  7. Suderman is a smoother hack than McArdle. I heard him on NPR show To the Point on Monday discussing health care. His main debating partner was Jonathan Cohn. The New Republic has major flaws, but Cohn's written some good stuff on health care. Rather than giving Suderman credit - since I've seen some of his other crap - I think he just dialed down the bullshit to what he thought he could get away with. David Brooks, David Frum and Tony Blankley do the same thing on NPR/PBS all the time, so they can hawk their "reasonable" conservative brand along with some BS.

The full version of Taibbi savaging McArdle was a thing of beauty, and she got off easy. TBogg's commentariat did a fine summing up of McBargle's many moral, logical and rhetorical failings in that segment...

  8. I can't even begin to understand how Suderman passes himself off as a health care expert. He has a journalism degree with a minor in film studies. If it weren't for the Koches he'd be working in a cubicle in some office in Florida and writing movie review for free on the internet.

I should revist that interview; it was interesting.
