More Ominous Signs Of Christian Persecution
So we were off to the local Walmart Superstore just up the road. We gathered up her desired foodstuffs and headed to the checkout — and then this happened. There was a young man doing the checkout and another Walmart employee came over and put up a sign, “No alcohol products in this lane.” So being the inquisitive fella I am, I used my additional set of eyes — glasses — to see the young checkout man’s name. Let me just say it was NOT “Steve.”
I pointed the sign out to Aubrey and her response was a simple question, how is it that this Muslim employee could refuse service to customers based on his religious beliefs, but Christians are being forced to participate in specific events contrary to their religious beliefs?
Boy howdy, that is one astute young lady.
Imagine that, this employee at Walmart refused to just scan a bottle or container of an alcoholic beverage — and that is acceptable. A Christian business owner declines to participate or provide service to a specific event — a gay wedding — which contradicts their faith, and the State crushes them.Another example of statist hatred of religion and its attempt to impose secularity on a god-fearing people! But fortunately we don't have to worry about Heartland dhimmitude after all.
EDITOR’S UPDATE: We spoke to the Walmart store, and apparently employees under 21 years old are prohibited from selling cigarettes and alcohol. However, that isn’t to say Walmart isn’t selectively caving to Muslim demands, such as this case regarding Halal meat in Ohio.
They are going to flog "Christian persecution" to death. Sweet, sweet victimization, balm to the soul. I suggest we call them whiners and laugh at them.
Hold on, we have another contestant!
ReplyDeleteEx-aide says Jeb Bush 'misheard' Iraq question
~
He might have misheard--he said:
ReplyDelete“I would,” Bush responded. “And so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everyone. And so would almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence they got.”
I don't think he listened to the question very carefully and accidently gave the wrong answer. Never mind!
Although I bet the answer would have been the same either way. The faked intelligence was the tool used to go to war; the decision was made a long time before to take out Saddam. The only mistake (in their view) was depending on people so immoral, corrupt and arrogant that they didn't even try to do a good job. But who else will lie, cheat and steal so they can kill and displace millions of people except immoral, corrupt and arrogant people?
By the way--watching the reaction to the Sy Hersh article is a very interesting pastime. So far I am learning that the CIA would never lie about an operation, the president would never lie to look good, and nobody in Pakistan would ever give up an enemy for 25 million dollars.
ReplyDeleteIt's educational!

ReplyDeleteIt seems Walmart is now selling Halal meat in some of its stores. This somehow counts as caving into Muslim demands.
Emily
Since I am spamming myself I might as well go on; these bits are too small for a whole post. I'm also enjoying the George Zimmerman shooting. It looks like George Zimmerman is having a problem with George Zimmerman--two men with guns out looking for trouble. The other guy Apperson (A to Z!) neatly set up the self-defense trap, knowing that Zimmerman would have a gun on him and therefore Apperson could just shoot at him and claim he was afraid for his life.
ReplyDeleteAnd/or Zimmerman tried to bully this guy and thought the latter would walk away afraid.
The problem with laws like this (and the religious exemption laws) is that they can be used by either side. Bullies think people won't fight back. Sometimes they do, sometimes the opponent is a bully as well.
Emily, we had better not tell these people about kosher meat. They will no doubt be certain that Hebrew National hot dogs are a conspiracy.

ReplyDeleteIt's as if they don't actually understand the free market at all. If there is money to be made, the market will find a way to make it. This is actually an example of where the free market is doing a good thing like they always claim it does, and it freaks them out.
Where's the free market approach to religioni? If Chrisianity is better than Islam everyone will choose Christianity and Islam will go bankrupt.
ReplyDeleteBut Christianity is being dragged down by other religions who envy its success and who are using regulations to disrupt the marketplace. Therefore we must kill the free market in order to save it.
