I Have Nothing

For the first time since I set sail, I find no snark worth hunting. McArdle is beyond parody or mocking. Douthat complains that religion is too compassionate these days. He's gonna be fun in the New York Times, ordering everyone to enjoy their suffering because it makes them more like Christ. We have to read Douthat in the Times. We suffer enough.

No snark worth hunting? Jonah Goldberg must have gone Galt.

Goldberg defied birth and breeding and showed a flash of common sense recently. It won't last long.

The elite on the right have accidently unleashed a lot of pent-up restlessness. Stirring up a lot of wingers to actually get off the couch and do something is asking for trouble. The fringe is utterly incapable of sticking to the script they are given, and they are only going to get more angry.

Yep. The whole 'teabagging' thing is currently somewhere between hopelessly pathetic and mildly amusing, but the rabble-rousing will push a few already unstable people right over the edge.
