Kiss your Social Security good-bye, Grandpa!
Children.
Medicaid just breeds independence. Unhook those tubes at once so he can breathe the air of economic freedom!
The military.
Why don't they pull themselves up by their bootstraps?
The Heartland.
Too bad all those family farms were replaced by subsidized industrial farming, by the way.
The South.
Oh, I wish I was in the land of
Just as Mitt Romney says, we need to forget about all those people who don't pay income taxes. They'll never get him elected so they don't count. And when the election is over, the 99% won't put money in Willard's pocket and they won't count either.
This is what the lesser of two evils gets us: A man who is so determined to fit in with the elite that he out-conservatives them, and a man so pickled in privilege that he doesn't think anyone outside of his tax bracket even exists, for all intents and purposes.

2011 Federal Income Tax? $0. Moochers.
And yes (odd you should ask) I did a post last week about ways they want to shake money out of empty pockets - http://downpuppy.blogspot.com/2012/09/19391954198620.html
They're all looters and mooches until you get laid off.
You know who else doesn't pay Federal income tax?

"intellectually intimidating" indeed.
The lesser of two evils has already gotten us, among other things, indefinite detention without trial of American citizens and will most likely bring about a reduction in Medicare and Social Security, if not their outright destruction.
True. But the tide will eventually turn. As more people become poorer they will start to turn on both our leaders and when the majority start rejecting authority the rest will just go along.
The longer the elite can drag out the process the easier it will be for them to succeed, however.
I suspect the gov't violent reaction to the "Occupy" movement was directed by fear of a larger uprising, and of a "leader" emerging. Lot of people furious with WAll St and Corporate government, etc., but we need a Leader,a coordinator. I hope when s/he emerges the Powers-that-be don't kill him-her. More likely a shocking scandal will be cooked up (like Asange's "rape" accusations).
Interesting Times!
Yes, one man can be destroyed. Millions, however, can change the world.
I hope you're right about the turning tide, Susan, but we both know that things will get worse before they get better.
Yes, it's very unfortunate and unnecessary but there's not much we can do when people are raised to obey authority--which means they will deny anything that threatens their worldview.
