Less Libertarian McArdle

Megan McArdle uses many, many, many words to agree with Ross Douthat about birth control and abortion. McArdle is far too authoritarian to understand that it is none of her business if another woman does or does not want an abortion. McArdle sees access to necessary health care for women as a privilege that can be bestowed or withheld for political advantage.

Your womb belongs to us. All of us. All the time. Resistance is futile. Your only choice is to never get pregnant - then and only then can you lecture everyone else on what they should do with their womb. So, you must be a man - or McMegan.

Surrender or die.

"Here's the problem: That study is not very good. This is the part where I spend a lot of time wading through the numbers. If that sort of thing bores you, just accept arguendo that the numbers don't add up very well, and skip to the concluding paragraphs."
I'll be brain dead, buried, consumed by worms and turned into a tree before I accept Megan's numbers.
Or, in the immortal words of some guy in her comments, "50 or 500, who cares". Paraphrased, of course.

Yes, I have to find time to address that post. She doesn't even try to be coherent. She must be busy with something else right now; she certainly isn't with her column.
