Choosing Evil

I don't have a problem with DougJ but I do have a problem with settling for evil.
Choosing evil isn't wise. It's just choosing evil, and pretending it's wise because the alternative is too terrible to contemplate: we let people suffer and die for our own convenience and are complicit in our own eventual yet inevitable destruction.

If it was just the lesser evil, it'd be a more convincing argument.

The way I see things, it's the left and right side of the Overton window, working in convert to make sure things can't get better for most of us. And they're well-paid for it.

I hear that people who consume a lot of rich, expensive foods such as beef and wine ruin their bodies for old age. I'll try to let that comfort me.
