School starts Monday and I am very pressed for time. I will try to post by Friday.

Take your time, some of us slackers have even more difficulty with putting up posts.

Even with no excuse.

Working?! Great!

Do I remember there was some question about whether you'd have one of those job thingies this year?

Not quite great--I have been applying for jobs and might get a part-time one that will help me get a full-time job later on. There are very few teaching jobs available.)

I don't know if I can continue with the blog if I am hired but since I am not happy unless I am writing, I'm sure I'll manage somehow.

Susan! I'm excited for you about this new stage. Personally, I am thrashing around trying to create a new life for myself as well. I know you'll have less time to blog in the future, if all goes well on the job front, but it will be stimulating your snark glands as well, no doubt. I'm hopeful you can keep up the snark production. Your fans need it!

Seen Fallows today? He prefaces a solid complaint about an Atlantic piece by averring that he generally agrees (as part of a long list) with "most of what Derek Thompson or James Kwak writes about economics" ... Surely he forgot someone?

Yeah, Pete, I noticed that thundering omission by Fallows, too. Ouch.

Susan, were I a person of wealth, you would be receiving a substantial monthly stipend from me, no strings, just for running-around money. Alas.

Thanks, Larkspur.

Pete, thanks for the link. For Fallows, that's almost pointed.

Aimai, I hope things work out. I'll be happy if the job comes through but I won't hold my breath.
