What a load of crock. The rich are the most impervious to human suffering alive. Indeed, their wealth often depends on it.
What is the word "mathematically" doing in McArdle's reply there.
"I think that getting richer has made us more moral - more careful about human life and suffering."
That didn't seem to work for either the Ancient Romans or during the Italian Rennisance if memory serves.
Reality is for suckers.

Isn't the ???? pretty obvious here? Get the specific ways you became obscenely wealthy made illegal

"Mathematically," Yeah, stop right there. Introducing a sentence with "mathematically" or "scientifically" never bodes well for the rest of it, but in your case, Megan...
She's pretty confident that if she reads a book by someone on her side, she herself needs to prove nothing.
Of course she usually does not understand what she reads but that's the fun part.
