He "gives superior performances day in and day out"? Since when did talking out of your ass about politics over the radio become a "performance"?
They consider Limbaugh an entertainer because he makes them happy. He tells them that they're right and everyone else is wrong, they're good and everyone else is bad, and they'll go to heaven and everyone else will go to hell.
It's the Two Minute Hate, spread over hours every day.
