Why Are Liberals So Condescending?
Gerard Alexander is given space in the "liberal" media to complain that liberals are condescending to conservatives. I'd go over his article pointing out his psychological motive (too insecure to tolerate dissent or accept unpleasant facts), flawed thesis (conservatives' fact-free, illogical arguments are unjustly ignored), and emotional demands for attention and approval, but I would never lower myself that far.

we should pay attention to conservative voters' underlying problems but disregard the policy demands they voice; these are illusory, devoid of reason or evidence. This form of liberal condescension implies that conservative masses are in the grip of false consciousness.
The guy apparently doesn't even listen. Imply? Hell no! We've been shouting it from the rooftops for years now!
It's like dealing with a 13-year-old. You say, "you're wrong," and they shout, "you hate me!"
He foolishly tried to defend himself in chat at the WaPo.
FDL caught it -
Oh, I get it now. Claim your freaks are few and unimportant, and claim that the other side is all freaks.
