Atlas Shrugged: The Mocking

Heh.

Oh, god, it's too much. Megan posted an e-mail complementing her coverage. Usually you have to read Jonah Goldberg at the Corner to get that kind of blatant self-stroking.

It's not hatred or ideology that keeps me coming back to Megan. It's the comedy.

The sad thing about this is that, as someone who doesn't really understand economics that can't really grasp the current situation because of it, you'd think I'd be able to go to a site like the Atlantic with reasonable expectations that their house "econoblogger" might be able to teach me a thing or two. The problem is, Megan gets her facts wrong so often and her analysis of things I do understand is either pedestrian or incorrect, so I can't trust that I'm actually getting accurate, reliable information on the subject.

Then I checked in and it looks like it doesn't matter much anyway. All her posts about this financial crisis are either incoherent or generalizations so wide, even a lay person like me could have made them.

I wonder what kind of insanity you could get away with after a complimentary first line?
