"a term for a malicious, spiteful, domineering, intrusive, or unpleasant person, especially a woman"

The first time, you think Megan has a tin ear for insulting and potentially damaging comparisons.
Barack Obama will break 90%--or do really well, with third-world dictator
popularity levels.

But by the second time, you know it's deliberate.
This is not particularly urgent, since my voting "options" were New York
and DC; in both places, the question is not who will carry the state, but
whether Obama will get a mere 80% or so of the vote, or achieve Saddam
Hussein-like vote totals*. *Before you say it--no, not by fixing the
election, by being so popular that he achieves fairly what Saddam achieved by
force.

You stay classy, McArdle.

That second post you linked was fifty kinds of stupid and bad. But am I being irrational for not giving Megan the benefit of doubt when it comes to her claiming that comment about registering Democrat was an imposter? She banned you for telling her she had a hair out of place. How would a comment like that stand for weeks without her or one of the moderators catching it?

No, there's no reason to assume she's lying about the registration. If she couldn't remember to register to vote, she probably didn't think to register as a Democrat. But she might have decided it was usefull for some reason to let the comment stand.

She's not actually policing her comments, she just wanted to ban Susan and me.
But, just fyi, it's not based on ip but name, so it's not a terribly effective ban.
