OMB? OMG!

Megan McArdle, Whiner-American, complains that, like, she totally has to click on her mouse twice to look at the President's budget. Like, for real!

Why is government IT so awful? It seems like the first thing people are going to want, when they go to the Office of Management and Budget, is, like, to look at the Budget. Yet the budget isn't even on the OMB servers, apparently--it's hosted at the GPOaccess site. I have, to be sure, seen private websites that were this awful. But not that many, and the companies that had them usually either redesigned them right quick, or went out of business. Instead the government has preserved all the problems with the old site, added new ones, and given us in exchange . . . a glossy photograph of Barack Obama looking solemn.

I am sure that there is some stupid bureaucratic logic behind putting the budget information elsewhere. But I'm not sure my heart can stand finding out what it is.
Geeze, what a drama queen. Maybe her disappointment is affecting her nerves.

It must be some kind of double negative stupidity in megan's mind, like they've missed the opportunity to duplicate effort unnecessarily, therefore proving themselves incompetent in their incompetence. Ergo, psych!

That's probably the dullest "OBAMA HASN'T FIXED EVERYTHING YET" of the year. I think it'll still hold its own by year's end.

How many appletinis has she had by now? No posts since early afternoon. No doubt Atlantic writers get invited to open houses, etc. Question: Will Megan drunk-post tonight, or will her next missive clock in at 11:00 a.m. Eastern? Time enough for her and her "housemate" to cook pancakes again.

Anonymous, her next post is about drinking, lol.

Megan, dull? If you are tired of Megan's stupidity, you are tired of life!
