A Small Note Regarding Our Future

Our elite and their servants are trying to tell the poor that they should not want to be rich. Of course, they should be telling the rich that they should not want to be rich. Whether or not we will undergo economic collapse, we must get away from the financial vampires that are trying to suck us dry for our own physical and mental health.

We don't have to live this way.

Ah yes, the classics never go out of style:

Republicans whine
and republicans bitch,
"Our rich are too poor!
and our poor are too rich!"

Jeezus christ that gerson piece takes the cake for awful. I mean, just awful. "Easy for me to write this on my macbook..." indeed. What an asshole. When life gives you lemons/make lemonade is a perfectly good admonition to oneself. But when you turn to your starving neighbor and compliment her on how much weight she and her children have lost you have really lost your fucking mind.

Gerson makes me feel like vomiting, partly because he (stupidly) thinks he's come up with a new and amazing idea:

Poor people are Happier than Rich people! and they have better morals!

Rich people have been trying to con the poor with that flailing truism for aeons.

The guy is a pig.

I'd like to see just one of these Merton-quoting, nun-worshipping, sanctimonious fools actually give up everything and devote themselves to the poor.
